hemmed . verb.
To enclose or confine.
The building on top of the lush green hill hemmed under the moon.

Bleak . Adverb.
bare desolate and often windswept.
The bleak landscape ran like a river of dirt.

goad . noun.
anything that pricks or wounds like such a stick.
I goad my brother with a stick.

Brittle . adjective.
easily damaged or destroyed.
I looked at the old brittle rock.

Taunt . verb.
to reproach in a sarcastic, insulting, or jeering manner; mock.

I taunted the old shed like it was a bully.
